The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a sole source task order to The Boeing Company, based in St. Louis, Missouri, to provide product support services for all US Navy and Foreign Military Sales F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft for calendar year 2016. This effort, conducted under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0001-0006, utilizes a combination of firm fixed price and cost plus fixed fee contract types. The scope of work specifically includes Automated Maintenance Environment and Integrated Logistics Support supplies and services, with an estimated total value of 75.8 million dollars covering fiscal years 2014 through 2016. The acquisition was pursued without full and open competition under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as Boeing was identified as the only responsible source capable of satisfying agency requirements due to its status as the original equipment manufacturer. This action is covered under Class Justification and Approval number 16-0108. While this specific order focuses on 2016 requirements, the government anticipated separate contract actions to support operations for calendar years 2017 and 2018.
