Full Description

FA8629-11-D-2304. Battlefield Airmen (BAO kit) Program. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Special Operations Forces and Personnel Recovery Division, Battlefield Airmen Branch intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Harris RF Communications Division, Inc., to supply PRC-152 Software, PRC-152 Hardware Upgrades and Battlefield loss replacements. The PRC-152 Radio System is currently used by Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The PRC -152 Radio System is utilized by the Battlefield Airmen to communicate. The Government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, since Harris RF Communication Division, Inc., is the exclusive distributor of the PRC-152 Radio System to the U.S. market.
