The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), specifically the Office of Food for Peace under the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance, plans to award a six-month cost reimbursement contract to Kimetrica, LLC. This contract will be awarded without competition to ensure the continued servicing of a custom-built Data Warehouse software that supports the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) program and its four inter-agency partners. The software is a centralized, web-based platform that provides real-time interaction for over 200 FEWS NET staff across field and headquarters locations. Given the specialized nature of these services, transitioning to a different resource would likely cause unacceptable delays detrimental to the mission. Kimetrica’s role is critical to maintaining the operational effectiveness of FEWS NET, which is integral to USAID’s efforts in famine early warning and food security monitoring. The contract falls under NAICS code 541611 and is managed by USAID’s Office based in Washington, DC. Points of contact for this procurement include Contract Specialists Renee Reed and Rachel Baltes. The decision to proceed without competition aligns with federal acquisition regulations and is considered in the best interest of the U.S. Government to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
