The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury, anticipates the issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled Replace Warehouse Ramp for FCI Danbury located at 33 1/2 Pembroke Road, Route 37, Danbury, CT 06811.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR Revision Subpart 12.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes as the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is issued (see attached). You are required to provide all pages of the written attached solicitation with your complete quotation.

A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2026-1, Effective Date March 13, 2026.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to demolish the existing failed warehouse ramp and construct a new ADA‑compliant, heavy‑duty concrete access ramp at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury Warehouse. The work includes full removal of deteriorated concrete and subgrade, excavation to required depths, installation of reinforced concrete footings, retaining walls, drainage systems, and placement of a new 48‑foot sloped ramp designed to support continuous forklift traffic. See the attached Statement of Work and Drawings for further detailed requirements.
The estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238110 (Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $19.0 million average annual receipts for the firms preceding three fiscal years.
