StanCOG serves multiple critical roles as a regional public agency, including acting as the Local Transportation Authority, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Area-wide Planning Organization, Regional Transportation Planning Agency, Congestion Management Agency, and Abandoned Vehicle Authority, among other designations.
