The Department of Defense, specifically the 45 CONS for the 24th Analysis Squadron at Patrick Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify capable sources for a Computer-Controlled Variable Pressure Schottky Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope. The requirement includes the delivery, installation, and training for the equipment. Key technical specifications include compatibility with SharkSEM API protocol algorithms, a fully motorized compucentric 5-axis stage, the ability to maintain scan linearity across all magnifications, and high-quality imaging of non-conductive materials. While the TESCAN MIRA3 LMU is the known model meeting these needs, other manufacturers may be considered if they meet the minimum requirements, particularly the NIST Rotating Chord Algorithm compatibility. This effort is categorized under NAICS code 334513, with a size standard of 750 employees, and the government is considering a small business set-aside. Interested parties must submit a capabilities package detailing their business size, socio-economic status, and whether they are a supplier or manufacturer. The package should include a DUNS number, Cage Code, SAM expiration date, and GSA contract information if applicable. The contractor is expected to provide one on-site training session at the government location in Florida and three additional training classes at the contractor's site.
