Full Description

The USDA Forest Service, Southwest Regional Office seeks vendor to provide 4 ATV-Equestrian fiberglass bridge kits (2 - Fiberglass 30-0 x 6-0, 1 - Fiberglass 50-0 x 6-0, 1 - Fiberglass 45-0 x 6-0) complete for trails construction. Fiberglass parts must meet following: NO one piece of the bridge package can weigh more then 135 lbs. These parts will be carried by hand to the bridge site. Complete engineering calculations for the bridge and abutment with PE certification. Atotal complete package is required, all abutment plates, decking, hardware, all FRP materials pre drilled and fitted. Package must be designed and assembled for hand packabilty and ease of assembly with hand tools only. Company must have a proven track record of providing excellent materials, ease of assembly, provide engineering assistance, reliable, and the bridge actually fits together. Design Specifications of Materials: The bridges will include the following: Engineering Calculations and P.E. Certifications required Ssloping ingress/egress handrail , design live load = 85 psf, fire retardent fiberglass support trusses, Handrail height - 42 (equestrian standards), Horizontal midrails with maximum 9 opening, A307 galvanized steel bolts or equivalent, Green color, Mounting clips, 3'x12 #2 Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine Decking, and Fiberglass foundation plates. All interested vendors must provide a capabilities statement with record of previous bridge installation projects. This project is set aside for small business only.
