Fiddletown Road Bridge Replacement Project

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number AMA-61494-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Jeff Christman. The project is limited to the replacement of the existing Fiddletown Road Bridge (26C0026) over North Fork Dry Creek within the same footprint of the existing bridge. The existing bridge is a single-span earthen-filled, reinforced concrete spandrel bridge which measures 33 feet long by 18 feet 8 inches wide and the new bridge will be a concrete precast cored slab bridge with a span approximately 40 feet long and 38 feet wide. The project activities will include vegetation removal, excavation and backfill to install bridge abutments and install and later remove the temporary detour, as well as the placement of rock slope protection. The roadways on either side of the bridge will be adjusted to accommodate the increased bridge width. Access to the site/staging area will occur at the west approach of the bridge, south of and adjacent to the existing County Right-of-way, on Assessor’s Parcel Number 014-300-003.
