This contract involves the procurement of filters for transit buses operated by the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) in New York, with bids due by 1:00 PM EST on December 5, 2024. The contract is set for a two-year period starting January 3, 2025, and covers multiple counties including Albany, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, and Warren. The bidding process emphasizes cost competitiveness, as the award will be granted to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the complete Invitation for Bids available for free on the CDTA website after October 28, 2024. Bidders are required to submit their proposals in accordance with provided instructions and can direct technical questions in writing by November 11, 2024. The procurement process promotes equal opportunity, explicitly encouraging disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned business enterprises to participate, with a strict non-discrimination policy based on race, creed, gender, national origin, disability, or marital status. The contract does not set aside opportunities specifically for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. Past vendors such as Cummins and Kirk's Automotive have previously secured similar contracts within the last five years. Interested vendors must complete online registration to access the full bid documents, and the project is managed by Stacy Sansky, the Director of Procurement, whose contact details are provided for inquiries.
