Fire Alarm & Sprinkler System Repairs

The Wyoming State Construction Department, Procurement Section, on behalf of the Wyoming Department of Corrections (Procuring Agency) will receive bids until 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time on September 30, 2024, for the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System Repairs at the Wyoming State Penitentiary located in Rawlins, Wyoming. Project Description: This project will consist of the repairing and replacement of deficiencies found during inspections of the fire alarm and sprinkler inspections of 2023. This includes but is not limited to: replacing multiple types of institutional sprinkler heads and missing parts, flow switches that have failed or are failing, escutcheons, replacing antifreeze, gauges, couplings, a CT1 module, wire, and required signage. This also includes tying in one kitchen hood to the existing fire alarm system via the closest device after the purchase, installation and programming of the CT1 module for monitoring and correctly plumbing in the ANSUL Piranha system with copper pipe. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. MT on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 starting at Wyoming State Penitentiary, 2900 S. Higley Blvd, Rawlins, WY, 82301. Bidding questions shall be submitted on the Public Purchase website by 5:00 p.m. MT on September 16, 2024. All questions will be answered and provided to all prospective bidders via answers on the Public Purchase website or in the form of a written addendum posted on Public Purchase by 3:00 p.m. MT on September 23, 2024. Questions received after 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on September 16, 2024, will not be addressed. It is the Contractor's responsibility (not required) to add their company to the Plan Holders and Contractors List. If a bid is greater than $150,000, each bid is required to have a bid deposit in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid, which shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check (a copy of a check will not be accepted) drawn on a reliable bank and made payable to the State of Wyoming (no personal checks will be accepted), or an electronic bid bond with Surety 2000.
