SacRT is seeking bids for a five-year contract to provide fire extinguisher maintenance, repair, and testing services across its operations in California. The contract, which begins on September 9, 2024, and concludes on September 8, 2029, requires bidders to hold a C-16 contractor license classification at the time of award. Bids must be submitted via SacRT’s PlanetBids Vendor Portal by August 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time, and will be publicly accessible on the portal. While no specific Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal has been set for this contract, federal policy encourages DBE participation, and contractors are expected to provide opportunities for DBEs where applicable. Bidders are also required to submit a DBE commitments form if DBE firms are involved, ensuring race-neutral tracking of participation. SacRT emphasizes equal opportunity and non-discrimination in awarding and performing the contract, encouraging all qualified firms to submit bids without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or creed. The agency does not prequalify subcontractors but recommends reviewing the prospective bidders list on PlanetBids to identify potential subcontracting partners. The contract’s estimated value ranges from $500,000 to $1,500,000, and interested parties can access detailed solicitation information through the provided PlanetBids link or contact Issa Fakhoury for further inquiries.
