The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract N00019-20-C-0025 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., San Diego, CA, for the procurement of system and software engineering requirements to support the MQ-8 Fire Scout UAS. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
