Fiscal Year 2026 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Low or No Emission Program

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) within the Department of Transportation has issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity, solicitation number FTA-2026-011-TPM-LWNO, for the Fiscal Year 2026 Low or No Emission Grant Program. This competitive grant program provides approximately 589 million dollars to support the purchase or lease of low-emission and zero-emission transit buses, as well as the acquisition, construction, and leasing of necessary supporting facilities. The program operates under the authority of 49 U.S.C. 5339(b) and (c). All proposals must be submitted electronically through the Grants.gov apply function by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on September 21, 2026. Submissions via mail or fax will not be accepted.
