STATEMENT OF WORK TITLE: Floating Dock Headblock Reconstruction – Flower’s Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador LOCATION: Flower’s Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The scope of work for this project is the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for floating dock headblock reconstruction at Flower’s Cove, Newfoundland In general, the work under this contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and removal — Removal of the existing north side floating dock crib and gangway. All demolition materials must be disposed of at a provincially approved waste disposal facility 2. New floating dock headblock installation — Supply and installation of a new floating dock crib and gangway 3. Armour stone installation — Supply and installation of armour stone FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. The Contractor must perform and complete the work under this project within sixteen (16) weeks of contract award.
