The U.S. Geological Survey’s Cooperative Research Units in Reston, Virginia, is seeking to purchase a single pull-behind travel trailer to support field operations for the Florida Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, specifically to provide housing for graduate students and technicians conducting wildlife sampling in the Everglades and across Florida. The trailer must be new, brand name or equivalent to the 2026 Open Range Colt 26DBS, and must meet strict technical specifications including a 30-foot bumper pull design, capacity for at least five adults with three dedicated double beds or larger, 13,500 BTU air conditioning, a minimum six cubic foot refrigerator, interior sink and cooktop, hard-sided construction with no canvas walls, at least one slide-out, and separate fresh, black, and gray water tanks each with a minimum 30-gallon capacity, along with a water heater and compliant driving/brake lights. The trailer must be climate-controlled to ensure habitability during Florida’s extreme heat in spring, summer, and autumn and must be delivered to 2295 Mowry Road, Building 106, Gainesville, FL 32611 within 60 days after award. This procurement is a total small business set-aside under FAR 19.5, with bids restricted to certified small business concerns only. Compliance with SAM registration, including active status, valid UEI, CAGE code, and verified TIN, is mandatory, as is submission of all required documents—including business size classification, signed SF-18, and country of manufacture—in a single PDF file by the June 26, 2026 deadline via email to the Contracting Officer. Award will be made on a lowest price technically acceptable basis, where all mandatory requirements form pass/fail gates; failure to meet any will result in disqualification.
