The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane has identified a sole-source procurement requirement for spare parts supporting the MH-60 Helicopter Platform. This acquisition will be awarded directly to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, located in Stratford, Connecticut, due to the proprietary nature of the components and the absence of alternative suppliers capable of meeting the government’s needs. The order encompasses specific parts including 57 units each of Nose Mounts, Nose Mount Fairings, HCU Jumpers, Molded Cables, and 2 External Weapons Systems Left. The procurement will be carried out under a five-year Basic Ordering Agreement, SPRPA1-11-G-001Y. The contract will be executed in accordance with statutory and regulatory provisions allowing for sole-source awards when only one responsible source exists. Inspection of the delivered items will be performed by the Defense Contract Management Agency at the origin, with acceptance at the destination. The contract notice affirms that this is not a competitive solicitation and highlights the government’s discretion in proceeding without competition based on responses to the notice. Communications regarding this procurement are directed to a designated individual at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The synopsis for this contract is available on both the Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online platforms to ensure access despite potential site unavailability.
