Florence Street Road Construction Project

The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing a new asphalt roadway on Florence Street between the limits of about 250 feet north of Cajalco Road to Dawes Street, approximately 0.25 miles, in Mead Valley, Riverside County. Florence Street is a local, predominantly unpaved roadway with a current width of approximately 60 feet wide and a proposed road width of 26 feet, the right-of-way is 60 feet. The proposed project will remove and replace about 50 feet of existing asphalt concrete and pave the remaining dirt portion of Florence Street. In addition, it will include grading and moisture conditioning the roadway width and paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Additional improvements include: • Asphalt Concrete Pavement • Safety edge and shoulder backing • Removing and replacing asphalt dike • Remove existing asphalt concrete • Pavement delineation of roadway • Trimming and/or removing trees and vegetation as needed • Removing rocks as necessary All proposed improvements are within the County’s right of way. No additional right-of-way or temporary construction easements are required to construct the proposed improvements.
