The Department of Defense’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support office in Philadelphia plans to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company for the repair of three pump units identified by NSN 4320-011489826 and part number 01-011-5. This procurement is justified because the necessary data to competitively acquire these parts is either unavailable or too costly to obtain, and it is not feasible to create adequate specifications for competitive bidding. The repair falls under NAICS code 333914 and Federal Supply Classification 4320, and the acquisition will follow the streamlined procedures outlined in FAR Part 13 rather than the commercial item acquisition rules in FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be issued electronically through the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) system, with no telephone requests or hard copy distributions allowed. Only firms already approved as sources, specifically The Boeing Company, are eligible for award, although others may submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) if not currently approved; however, the procurement process will not be delayed for SAR approvals. This acquisition is not a small business set-aside, and interested parties have until mid-June 2026 to express their capability to fulfill the requirement. The anticipated contract award date is in August 2026, and all communications regarding capabilities should be directed to the designated contracting officer via email.
