AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Navy’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia plans to award a sole source repair contract exclusively to The Boeing Company for the repair of three Pump Units identified by NSN 4320 011489826 and part number 01-011-5. This action is justified due to the unavailability of technical data, the inability to develop economically viable specifications for competitive bidding, and the absence of alternative sources capable of performing the repair. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 333914 and FSC 4320, and will be conducted under FAR Part 13 procedures, explicitly excluding commercial item acquisition policies under FAR Part 12. Only The Boeing Company is an approved source for this item, and no delays will be granted for new source approval requests. The acquisition is not reserved for small businesses, and all solicitation processes will be conducted electronically via NECO without hard copies or telephone inquiries. Responses must be submitted electronically by June 17, 2026, with an anticipated award date in August 2026. Interested parties may demonstrate their capability to provide a commercial item alternative by submitting qualifications via email to Kimberly Flores by the same deadline.
