The Department of Defense's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is planning a sole source procurement with MOOG INC for the repair of a hydraulic transmission part, specifically NSN 2520-015919736 and part number 2741152-4-3. As the original equipment manufacturer, MOOG INC is the only known source capable of providing the required repair support, and no alternative sources possess the necessary data or rights to produce or repair this component. The government expects to award the contract to MOOG INC without competition, although other capable firms may submit capability statements or proposals within 45 days for consideration, primarily to determine if a competitive procurement should be pursued. The procurement is based on authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302, and the source approval process must be followed for any new manufacturers seeking to qualify for this item. The acquisition will be conducted under FAR Part 13 procedures, with the anticipated contract award scheduled for August 2025. Interested parties are directed to submit their capabilities via email to Elise Anzini, with the solicitation details posted on NECO, and no hard copies or telephone inquiries will be accepted.
