Fonthill Cemetery Columbarium

The Town of Pelham is soliciting bids for the supply and installation of a 96-niche columbarium at Fonthill Cemetery. The project requires a qualified contractor to provide a pre-assembled unit featuring Standstead grey polished steel and rock surfaces, an aluminum interior, and polished Laser black fronts. The successful proponent must also design and install the columbarium foundation, providing drawings stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario. Work is scheduled to commence by June 2026 and must be completed by December 15, 2026, including the full restoration of all disturbed site areas. This is a unit price contract requiring electronic bid submissions by October 8, 2026. Bidders must provide a mandatory $7,000.00 deposit via certified cheque, bid bond, or money order to the Town of Pelham prior to the closing date. Required documentation includes a Form of Tender, an Agreement to Bond, and a Harmonized Sales Tax form. Award evaluation will consider the bidder's experience in similar work and the suitability of proposed equipment. Upon award, the contractor must provide performance and labor and materials payment bonds, a WSIB Certificate of Clearance, and a comprehensive Health and Safety Plan within seven days. Payment will be made monthly in Canadian funds, subject to a ten percent holdback.
