Alberta Forestry and Parks - Parks Division (“Alberta Parks”) is seeking a business entity or non-profit organization or Proponent Team to operate and maintain the Premises described in the Agreement (Appendix C of this RFP). The Agreement included as Appendix C of this RFP will be finalized based on the parameters of the successful Proposal. Under established terms and conditions, the Agreement may be amended at any time based on the mutual acknowledgement of both parties in writing. An FOA is a contract to deliver Alberta Parks services, not a long-term lease to run a private business, and is more like a turnkey operation with contractual expectations and processes (e.g., Annual Operating Plan, revenue and expense reporting.) Under an FOA, the Operator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with running the facilities covered by the agreement, both those from which they generate revenue (campgrounds) and those from which they do not generate revenue (day use areas). This includes ongoing routine maintenance and repairs to infrastructure. The Operator collects approved fees from visitors and pays a portion back to the Province. An FOA is a type of revenue contract which is different than a service contract, where a vendor is paid a set amount to deliver specified products or services. This RFP is for the procurement of operations and maintenance services for Pierre Grey’s Lakes Facility Operating Group. Details on this opportunity are provided in Sections 2 and 3 of this RFP.
