In the event that Alberta requires additional Sustained Action Crews that existing Firetack Crew contracts are unable to provide the Province may issue a Statement of Work to qualified vendors to provide Surge Sustained Action Crews. These Surge Sustained Action Crews will work under the direction of the Province via the outlined Statement of Work Process. The crew(s) shall provide fire suppression services and or other project work which may include but is not limited to, brush clearing, preparation of fire breaks and manual labour. There is no guarantee of work associated with becoming a Pre-Qualified Proponent and Statement of Works will only be issued when traditional Firetack contracts are unable to fill resource requests.
