Parks Canada Agency is seeking a contractor to perform maintenance work on a fireguard area within Banff National Park, specifically involving hand and mechanical treatment of a 12.6-hectare firebreak that was previously logged in the early 2000s and has since become densely overgrown with pine regeneration. The objective of this work is to reduce fuel buildup and maintain an open meadow structure to help manage fire risks. The contract period extends from the date of award until March 31, 2026. Interested bidders must submit their proposals via email or fax only, as in-person, courier, and SAP Ariba submissions are not accepted. Email submissions should be sent exclusively to BanffContracts@pc.gc.ca, with a maximum file size of 15 megabytes, and large bids should be sent in multiple emails clearly labeled. Enquiries about the contract must be made in writing to the Contracting Authority, Emilie Dunbar, at least seven days before the closing date of January 20, 2026. All work must comply with National Parks regulations and the National Park Act. Bid documents are available through the Government of Canada’s electronic tendering service, and while documents are provided in both official languages, any discrepancies should be reported promptly.
