The Government is seeking to procure a single gasoline-powered forklift, with dual fuel as an acceptable alternative, for use at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Beaumont facility in Beaumont, Texas. The equipment must meet or exceed stringent specifications, including a minimum 5,000-pound lifting capacity, a two-stage mast with a fork height of at least 131.5 inches (three-stage masts are acceptable), and a 40-inch wide carriage. The forklift must be equipped with solid pneumatic tires and a safety system that meets or exceeds Toyota’s System of Active Stability, incorporating an active control rear stabilizer and active mast function controller. Additional required features include an automatic fork leveling system, Class 2 forks measuring 48 inches with six degrees forward and eleven degrees backward tilt, a 40-inch cascade sideshifter, and an automatic transmission. The unit must also feature a high-volume backup alarm, LED headlights, LED rear combination lights, an amber LED strobe light, a mounted fire extinguisher, a four-way adjustable operator seat, a safety mechanism that disables operation if the operator leaves the seat, a non-slip floor mat, and a weatherized electrical system designed for outdoor use in rainy conditions. Delivery is required on or before September 4, 2026, at the specified location, with FOB Destination terms applying. The warranty must include a minimum of 12 months or 2,000 hours for the basic system and 36 months or 6,000 hours for the powertrain. The solicitation is structured as a Firm Fixed Price contract under a Total Small Business Set-Aside, with NAICS code 333924 and a size standard of 1,000 employees, and is open only to small businesses including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and other eligible categories.
