Formation of Community Facilities District 2025-1

The Westside Union School District is establishing Community Facilities District No. 2025-1 to finance the acquisition, renovation, modernization, and construction of public school sites and facilities operated by the District and the Antelope Valley Union High School District. This initiative, governed by the California Government Code, is designed to support facilities with an estimated useful life of five years or more. The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act and is supported by a CFD Report from California Financial Services, with boundary maps recorded in Los Angeles County. Funding for these facilities will be managed through a special tax levy used to cover bond principal and interest, election costs, and professional fees for legal, fiscal, financial, and engineering consultants. The district will establish dedicated accounts for these proceeds, and the appropriations limit will be determined via a mailed-ballot election. Administrative oversight includes annual reporting to the Board by the Superintendent or a designee, with the Clerk responsible for certifying elections and resolutions.
