Bid #26-1003457: This project is for Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) services on two specific freeway segments (Beats 9 and 31) in San Bernardino County. The contractor will provide a fleet of dedicated tow trucks to patrol the assigned beats during peak commute hours. The goal is to rapidly assist motorists with disabled vehicles or minor accidents to mitigate traffic congestion and improve air quality. Services provided to motorists at no cost include changing flat tires, jump starts, providing one gallon of fuel, taping hoses, and refilling radiators. If a vehicle cannot be mobilized within 10 minutes, it will be towed to a designated drop point. The contractor is responsible for acquiring and maintaining FSP-certified tow trucks, hiring and training qualified drivers who must pass CHP background checks, and adhering to the FSP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual.
