Full Description

SYNOPSIS The contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, test equipment, tools, transportation, and new replacement parts necessary to ensure the operation of the 49 Kendro (Harris/REVCO models MBF-500 and MBF-700) Chest Freezers located at McGuire AFB, NJ. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, performing semi-annual routine maintenance on chest freezers with temperatures ranging from -55'C to -85'C. The chest freezers store the sole supply of the Armed Forces inventory of frozen blood products. The contractor will be required to change out parts to minimize down time. The Contractor shall provide two (2) scheduled maintenance inspections (PMI's) per year. The Contractor shall provide all test, adjustments, lubrication, and other work in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance instructions. This will be a firm, fixed price acquisition under Standard Industrial Class Code (SIC) is 7623, NAICS Code 811310 and related Small Business Standard - $7,000,000. This requirement is being set-aside 100% for a small business concern. The proposed performance period is a Base Period from 1 Mar 2011 - 30 Sep 2011 and four (4) one year options. A site visit is scheduled on 11 Jan 2011 at 10:00 AM. Attending the site visit is not mandatory, however if you plan to attend you must email the following information to Mathuei Kenneybrew at Mathuei.Kenneybrew@mcguire.af.mil no later than 1630 on Friday, January 7, 2011: - Visitor's Name (Last, First, & MI) - Visitor's SSN and date of birth - Visitor's driver's license number and name of the issuing state All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and failure to register in CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in CCR at the time of award. CCR can be accessed at www.ccr.gov . Solicitation will be issued on or about 18 Jan 2011. The due date for proposals will be posted in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be available only on the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it will be incumbent upon interested parties to review the site frequently for any updates and or amendments to this solicitation. All interested parties may submit an RFP for consideration by the agency for evaluation.
