AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of manufacturing spare fuel control units, main, T, identified by part number 1534M52P21 and NSN 2915-01-582-2567PR, for the F110 engine platform. This effort, issued as a Sources Sought synopsis under notice ID FD2030-27-00075, is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to award a contract or allocate funds; it is solely to assess industry capability, determine competition potential, and explore whether the requirement can be set aside for small businesses, including 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, and women-owned firms. Vendors interested in participating must register via the designated button on the portal, as no formal response or proposal is requested at this stage. The effort falls under NAICS code 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees and requires potential suppliers to demonstrate the ability to fully manufacture the part, including sourcing components, conducting inspections and testing, preservation, packaging, shipping, and managing the supply chain through challenges like diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts. Nonrecurring engineering costs related to qualification may also be the vendor’s responsibility. The spares requirement is projected for delivery between June 26 and September 26, 2026, with performance centered at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The 421st SCMS Supply Chain Management Squadron is the point of contact, and all correspondence must be directed to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil. The market research window closes on July 23, 2026, and responses are needed to inform future acquisition planning under FAR Part 10.
