This notice serves as a combined Request for Information and Synopsis issued by the Department of Defense, specifically the DLA Aviation at Hill Air Force Base, to conduct market research and gather information on potential sources capable of supplying a fuel control component with NSN 2910-01-135-5681 and P/N 160034-400. The government aims to identify whether commercial or nondevelopmental items are available that meet its requirements, with an estimated procurement of 62 units scheduled for delivery by September 4, 2026, to destination SW3210. The solicitation indicates that the requirement is sole-source, justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), due to the unavailability of alternative sources, data, or the feasibility of reverse engineering the part. The procurement is not set aside for small businesses, but interested small firms and subcontractors are encouraged to establish contact with specified firms such as AAR Supply Chain Inc. and Pratt & Whitney for potential subcontracting opportunities. The government emphasizes that this notice does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to contract and will not involve the use of policies from the Commercial Items acquisition framework. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 15 days of the notice, and are encouraged to demonstrate their ability to meet the requirements, especially if they can provide commercial items. The procurement is subject to applicable trade agreements, and all responses should be directed to the primary contact, Scottina Malia, via email. The overall purpose is to enhance competition, improve access to acquisition information for small businesses, and ensure the government’s needs are met through capable sources.
