Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy

The Medical University of South Carolina is soliciting proposals for the one-time purchase and delivery of a NIRx-NIRSport2 16x16 shared-use functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) system or an approved equal. This equipment is intended to support research in neuroscience, rehabilitation, gait, balance, cognitive, and human performance. The system must be compatible with existing NIRx systems, support both laboratory and mobile data collection, and include a core amplifier unit, source/detector bundles, a static calibration device, four adult cap sizes, and a dedicated prefrontal headband. Award will be granted to the highest ranked, responsive, and responsible offeror based on a technical proposal, demonstrated experience in higher education, and a business proposal. All items must be new and delivered F.O.B. Destination to Charleston, South Carolina, within 60 days of the purchase order, with onsite training provided within two weeks of receipt. Proposals must be submitted through the SCEIS portal and include a technical solution, a redacted version of the proposal, an insurance summary, and a completed Service Provider Security Assessment Questionnaire. Offerors must also comply with South Carolina ethics laws, drug-free workplace certifications, and open trade representations.
