On 9 January 2023, the Government of Canada announced that following an open, fair and transparent competition, an arrangement was reached with the US government, Lockheed Martin and Pratt & Whitney for the acquisition of 88 F-35A fighter jets, associated equipment, sustainment set-up and services.
On 5 June, 2023 from 01:00 p.m. - 02:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), the Government of Canada will host a Virtual Industry Engagement Session that will provide information to Canadian industry and other stakeholders on the Future Fighter Capability Project (FFCP). The virtual session will be used to address key topics regarding FFCP implementation, including the overall project timelines, the economic benefits approach, approach to sustainment and key contacts. This presentation will include representatives from Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Department of National Defence (DND), Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada, the United States Government, Lockheed Martin, and Pratt & Whitney. If you are interested in attending the Virtual information Session, registrations will be accepted up to 31 May, 2023. You can register to attend by completing the registration form linked below. Please include:
- your organization name; - your representative name; - your email address; and, - your telephone number.
There will be an opportunity to submit questions following the information session.
The Virtual Industry Engagement will be delivered using the Zoom platform. The link will be provided prior to the virtual session and will be forwarded by email no later than 2 June, 2023 to the individuals/organizations that have submitted a "Request for Registration".
