FY'26 Snow and Ice Removal

Boone County Public Works is seeking bids from qualified Contractors, Companies, or Individuals to provide trucks, drivers, and equipment for snow removal and de-icing services on county and state-maintained streets and roads in unincorporated Boone County during the winter season from November 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. The contract may be extended for up to four additional one-year periods. Each truck will be assigned a fixed route and must meet specified equipment standards, with Boone County supplying salt. Contractors will be guaranteed a minimum payment for each four-hour call-out shift, along with a two-hour minimum for any subsequent shifts if replacements are needed due to maximum hours worked, all in compliance with applicable regulations. The contract also stipulates an annual retrofit requirement for each truck and an hourly rate for work performed. Prior experience in municipal snow and ice removal is required.
