The Town of Milton is in the process of constructing a new salt storage shed to improve winter maintenance operations and protect salt stockpiles from environmental exposure. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the paving work associated with the new salt storage shed project, including surface preparation, placement of bituminous concrete base and top courses, compaction, and final cleanup. Work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Preparation of surfaces as necessary for paving operations. Installation of approximately 7,980 square feet of 2-1/2” Type II bituminous concrete base course for the entirety of the small bay and along the perimeter of the large bay. Installation of approximately 14,300 square feet of 1-1/2” Type III bituminous concrete top course for the entire salt shed area. Provide smooth transitions between new and existing pavement surfaces. Compaction of all materials in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. Cleanup and removal of excess materials and debris upon completion of work. The Contractor shall complete all work associated with this project between August 17, 2026, and August 31, 2026, unless otherwise approved by the Town.
