Work under this too consists of the construction engineering design of a multi-use trail from Blair Rd and Aspen St, NW, at the southern end of the study area, to the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Eastern Avenue, NW, at the northern end of the study area. The project connects two sections of the Metropolitan Branch Trail that follow the western alignment in the Metropolitan Branch Trail Concept Plan. The scope of work includes project management, agency coordination, public involvement, survey and mapping, right of way services, traffic studies, utility mapping, geotechnical services, trail design, structural engineering, storm drainage, stormwater management, sediment control, traffic control (MOT), signing and pavement markings, lighting, traffic engineering, landscaping, cost estimates for construction, specifications and QA/QC.
