FY26-DDOT-PSD-Alabama Ave from 18th Street to Bowen Rd SE Safety Improvements

The project will advance the concept design for Alabama Avenue from MLK Avenue SE to Bowen Road SE, covering approximately four miles, building upon the 2017 Alabama Avenue Study. The design phase will focus on implementing comprehensive safety improvements, including curb extensions, refuge islands, bulb-outs, high-visibility crosswalks, and dedicated or protected bicycle lanes.
