AI Contract Overview

The 22nd Contracting Squadron is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified contractors capable of providing physical hardware sanitization, docking infrastructure, and centralized management services for thirty Government-furnished iPad Air M3 devices. The requirement mandates the permanent and irreversible removal of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, camera, and microphone components from each device to eliminate all wireless connectivity and potential for classified data leakage, ensuring the devices can be used securely in sensitive operational environments such as 801x exercises. The sanitized units must retain full core functionality including screen, processor, and power systems while being incapable of reactivating any disabled features. Contractors are also expected to deliver purpose-built physical docking systems to enable iOS and publication updates exclusively through wired connections, along with technical support for centralized device management in an EFB Program Manager office where email, ForeFlight, Microsoft Teams, and any certificates are strictly prohibited. Responses must include a capability statement detailing the contractor’s ability to meet the technical specifications, with each modified device requiring an individual certification report verifying the physical removal of all specified components. The work must be performed at the contractor’s facility, with an estimated 30-day period of performance upon contract award, and all devices will be delivered to the Government at McConnell AFB, Kansas. This RFI is strictly for planning and market assessment purposes; no contract will be awarded based solely on responses, and no pricing information may be submitted. The Government will not reimburse any costs incurred in preparing responses. All submissions must be emailed by July 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM CDT to the designated point of contact with the correct subject line and copied to two additional team members. The acquisition is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 811210, and respondents are responsible for marking any proprietary information. No formal contract clauses, evaluation factors, or delivery specifications are binding at this RFI stage, as no solicitation currently exists.
