Amendment - 003 - FY26 OTS Rappel Tower Demolition Service

The Department of Defense, through the 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, is soliciting firm-fixed price quotations for the professional demolition and removal of the 60-foot wooden Blue Thunder Rappel Tower. This total small business set-aside project requires the contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, and materials to dismantle the tower's structural components, including the central stair access, decking, railing, and guy wires. The scope of work extends to the excavation of sub-surface supports and footings to a minimum of four inches below final grade, the legal off-base disposal of all debris at an approved landfill, and the restoration of the site, which includes backfilling excavated areas and replenishing the central sand pit. The period of performance is 30 days, and the project is located in Montgomery, Alabama. Award will be granted to the lowest priced contractor that meets the minimum technical and security requirements, including the ability to perform unclassified demolition services. Contractors must comply with strict safety and environmental standards, including the use of high-visibility barricades, daily hazard sweeps, and adherence to local regulations for treated wood disposal. Personnel must possess a REAL ID or valid US Passport for installation access. Invoicing and payment will be processed electronically through the Wide Area WorkFlow system.
