AI Contract Overview
This solicitation, numbered SPE4A6-27-T-004Y, is issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division for the procurement of 20 units of a dial indicating compound pressure-vacuum gage. Designated as a critical application item, the product must be manufactured using a metal casting process requiring specific tooling. The procurement is a small business set-aside with a price evaluation preference for HUBZone concerns. Technical specifications are governed by MIL-G-18997E, QQ-N-286G, and DI-DRPR-80651, with a delivery requirement of 425 days FOB Origin to the New Cumberland, PA facility. The contract mandates a rigorous quality assurance process, requiring the manufacturer's inspection system to comply with SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001. A First Article Test (FAT) is required for two units, with the resulting report due within 30 calendar days of the contract date. Packaging and marking must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, specifically noting the items as delicate instruments and certifying that all materials are mercury-free. Administrative requirements include the use of Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) for invoicing and compliance with various FAR and DFARS clauses regarding cybersecurity, domestic material restrictions, and safeguarding covered defense information.
