Gas Detectors and Monitoring Services

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is soliciting proposals under RFP 27-004-P for the provision of gas detectors and monitoring services. The scope of work includes the supply of various 4-gas and 5-gas passive detectors, area monitors, docking stations, and lone worker monitoring devices, along with associated implementation, employee training, and ongoing maintenance. A key requirement is the provision of an Industrial Scientific cloud-hosted gas detection service program for equipment management and real-time reporting. All operations and training must comply with OSHA and ANSI Z490.1 standards, and the contractor is expected to provide equipment repair or replacement within five business days. The District may elect to award the contract through either a purchase option, featuring a one-year initial term with four optional one-year renewals, or a fixed five-year lease option. In either case, the total agreement term shall not exceed five years. Award decisions will be based on the best value and most advantageous proposal. Selected vendors must meet specific insurance requirements, including a minimum A.M. Best rating of A- VII, and provide certifications regarding Texas Government Code Chapter 2274 concerning boycotts of energy companies and discrimination against firearm industries. Payment terms are set at Net 30. Proposals are due by October 23, 2026, and must be submitted via the Bonfire portal or in a physical 3-ring binder.
