The Aviation Integration Directorate intends to award a sole-source contract to General Dynamics OTS, Inc. for the procurement of GAU-19B Bomb Rack Adapter Parts. The acquisition includes eight units each of ten specific components, including mounts, drive couplings, rotating knives, spur gearshifts, knife switches, muzzle devices, barrel supports, latch kits, and feeder delinkers. All provided parts must be fully compatible with the light weight GAU-19B three barrel weapon system. This sole-source approach is necessitated by the government's lack of a technical data package required to compete the requirement. Under solicitation W91215-16-R-0004, the selected vendor is required to deliver all items to the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate at Fort Eustis, Virginia, within twelve months of receiving the order. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332994 and is subject to certain Free Trade Agreements. While the intent is a sole-source purchase, the government will consider capability statements, proposals, or quotations from all responsible sources.
