This notice is being cancelled in its entirety and will be re-issued as a pre-solicitation synopsis. ***PLEASE CONTACT AUDREY NELSON/ARCS WITH ANY TECHNICAL QUESTIONS OR TO SUBMIT CAPABILITIES TO AUDREY.C.NELSON- 1@NASA.GOV *** NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of a Concept Laser X-Line 2000R Additive Manufacturing (AM) Machine to support the EM42 Lab. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the GE Company GE Additive X-Line 2000R AM machine on a sole source basis to GE Additive. The NASA/MSFC Nonmetallic Materials and Manufacturing Branch requires the X- Line 2000R AM Machine to support the Liquid Engine Office (LEO) Development program for the RS25 Liquid Rocket Engine for the Space Launch Services (SLS). This machine will also support AM certification rational and requirements development. Compatibility is crucial with the GE product presently being utilized at MSFC. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 06/19/2019 by 12:00 p.m. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
