Full Description

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to exercise option year III to Bloomberg Finance L.P that was awarded as a sole source contract on July 07, 2008. Bloomberg Finance L.P. provides online financial and exchange data feeds and access to Bloomberg.com that delivers current and historical U.S. and international data continuously, both real-time and delayed. Bloomberg Finance L.P. is the only known vendor capable of providing the data and news on the required analytical platform that is required by the Commission. The period of performance for this purchase order was a base year and four one year options. The period of performance for Option Year III is from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The SEC intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation.
