GENERAL SERVICES - ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO SUMMARILY VACATE A PORTION OF POINTE PARKWAY & GOLF POINTE DRIVE IN THE SPRING VALLEY COMMUNITY PLAN AREA AND CEQA

The County of San Diego is adopting a resolution to summarily vacate portions of Pointe Parkway and Golf Pointe Drive within the Spring Valley Community Plan Area. The County Department of Public Works determined that these road segments are excess and no longer required for public use because they were dedicated to a State Route that the State of California has since abandoned and they are not included in the General Plan Mobility Element. In accordance with Streets and Highways Code section 8340, the county will reserve easements for drainage and trail use. The project area is located easterly of Jamacha Boulevard and easterly and southerly of the existing Pointe Parkway. This administrative action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under sections 15060(c)(2) and 15060(c)(3), as the abandonment of these road easements results in no physical environmental impact. The project was approved by the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors on August 27, 2025. Administrative oversight is managed by Environmental Planning Manager Emily Roberts, and the Recorder/County Clerk is required to post the notice for at least 30 days.
