The U.S. Air Force, through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of a generator component with NSN 6115016333465HY and part number 200330211-1, intended for F-16 platforms. This effort, referenced under Notice ID FD20302700034, is a Sources Sought synopsis under FAR Part 10 and is not a solicitation or binding contract opportunity; no funds are currently available for award. The government seeks information from all potential suppliers, with emphasis on Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Business entities, to assess the competitive landscape and determine whether the requirement can be set aside for small businesses or split across airframe platforms. The estimated quantity needed is 140 units, and potential sources must be capable of end-to-end manufacturing including component procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, logistics planning, and managing supply chain risks such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts. Responses must be submitted by August 7, 2026, via the designated workflow email 422.scms.afmc.rfi@us.af.mil, and interested vendors are required to select the “ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS” button to participate. The North American Industry Classification System code 336413 applies, with a size standard of 1,250 employees, and the place of performance is listed as Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The government will use all submitted information solely to evaluate acquisition strategy, including potential contract structure, cost feasibility, and supplier capability, without making any commitment to award a contract based on responses. Nonrecurring engineering costs associated with qualification as an approved source may be the responsibility of potential suppliers, and unit pricing will be determined only upon future contract award. No solicitations or responses to requests for one will be acknowledged or entertained at this stage.
