Purpose The City of Taylor is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide, install, and commission a diesel backup generator system capable of supporting the full charging load of 80 Club Car Tempo Lithium‑Ion golf carts . This RFP seeks competitive pricing, technical specifications, installation plans, and warranty information for a turnkey backup power solution. 2. Background The City operates a fleet of Club Car Tempo Lithium‑Ion golf carts , each equipped with either 650W or 900W onboard chargers. To ensure operational continuity during outages, the City requires a generator system capable of powering all 80 chargers simultaneously or through load‑managed distribution. 3. Technical Requirements A. Power Capacity Vendors must size generators based on the following load profile: 650W chargers → 52 kW connected load 900W chargers → 72 kW connected load Diversity factor: 70–85% Required generator capacity: 50–75 kW , 3‑phase diesel B. Acceptable Generator Types Proposals may include any generator meeting the above capacity. Examples of acceptable units include: C.
