RFQ Questions: RFI #1 Will this facility be able to be without power during regular hours while testing is being done? RFI #2 If an outage is required at the utility transformer for a proper full test who from your staff will be coordinating with the utility provider? See email below regarding simulated power failure testing. We can simulate testing, but I believe to do a proper full test we need to pull the feeds on double ended gear or We could probably pull the fuses on the PT's to simulate the outage also. Reply to Questions: RFI:1 Yes the facility will see the power change over every time we do a test on the system. They will have power at all times just see the bumps in lights and some other stuff in facility that is not on their U.P.S(Battery backup). RFI:2 We can turn off the SEL relays and make and outage at any time without calling anyone over to do it for us. If needed an electrical technician will be on sight for the duration of testing and see that it all goes as planned. There are installed keys on the relays to turn off and on to make it seem an outage has occurred even when power is on, So that won't be a problem.
