The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is seeking a qualified design professional firm to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for Project No. J-458-DP at the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. The scope of work includes the full design lifecycle—from programming and schematic design through design development, construction documentation, bidding assistance, and construction administration—with the selected firm serving as the Owner’s Architect of Record responsible for delivering all plans and specifications, obtaining regulatory approvals, and coordinating critical infrastructure upgrades such as the campus utility loop extension for power and fiber to the 333 North Ave property. Proposals must adhere strictly to the Georgia Tech Comprehensive Campus Plan and other institutional guidelines, and all design criteria must fully comply with ADA accessibility standards, state and local codes, sustainability benchmarks, and the Board of Regents’ Building Project Procedures Manual and 2000 Preplanning Guidelines. The selection process is a two-phase best-qualified evaluation, beginning with the submission of a Statements of Qualifications limited to 50 pages in PDF format uploaded to the BOR Egnyte platform by July 7, 2026. Offerors must include mandatory exhibits including a notarized Certification Form affirming the truthfulness of all disclosures, a Contractor Affidavit under Georgia’s Security and Immigration Compliance Act, a Certificate of Insurance and Minority Status, a Project Team Composition sheet, and a Proposer’s Disclosure Statement detailing any prior business relationships with the Board of Regents or Georgia Tech. Proposals that fail to include the Contractor Affidavit will be automatically rejected, and any unauthorized communication with Selection Committee members or institutional staff will result in disqualification. The evaluation weights prioritize firm experience (45%), apparent suitability to the project (30%), and organizational stability (25%). Finalists will be invited to interview, at which point a detailed fee proposal covering programming, design, specialty consultants, and construction administration services will be requested—each fee structured as a fixed or not-to-exceed lump sum, serving only as a starting point for negotiation. All submission costs are borne by the proposer, and materials submitted become the property of the Owner; the successful firm will be required to have all key personnel present for the interview and attend a mandatory site visit.
