Glass Repair, Replacement, Tinting and Maintenance Services

The City of Yuma is soliciting bids for on-call glass repair, replacement, tinting, and maintenance services for over forty city buildings and structures. The scope of work includes the installation of various glass types such as single-pane, dual-pane insulated, tempered, laminated, and wired glass, as well as the supply and installation of solar, reflective, and privacy window films. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for emergency make-safe operations, including board-ups and cleanup, and the maintenance of glazed openings. Automotive and vehicle glass services are specifically excluded from this contract. All work must comply with OSHA, EPA, and the building codes adopted by the City of Yuma. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the Total Evaluated Price, which is the sum of four specific project scenarios. Awarded pricing must remain firm for twelve months, with price adjustment reviews possible after one year. The selected contractor must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a required callback time of thirty minutes and response times ranging from two hours for emergencies to twenty-four hours for regular requests. Administrative requirements include naming the City and its employees as additional insured on all policies and submitting detailed invoices that break down labor by rate, window film by type, and material costs with attached supplier receipts. Bidders must submit their proposals through the Bonfire Procurement Portal, including a signed Certification and Addenda Acknowledgement Form. Final project acceptance is determined by City personnel, and the standard warranty period typically begins the day after final inspection and approval.
