Glenoaks Boulevard (10810) Slope Mitigation

This project involves the construction of a new bulkhead debris barrier wall along Glenoaks Boulevard to prevent loose debris and rock material from rolling onto the adjacent sidewalk and roadway. The scope includes removing accumulated slough material at the slope's toe, scaling the slope surface, and installing a 600-foot-long barrier composed of 76 cast-in-drilled-hole piles with steel I beams encased in concrete, along with approximately 450 precast concrete lagging finished with an architectural color. Additionally, about 60 feet of existing concrete sidewalk will be removed and replaced, and erosion control measures such as hydroseeding will be applied to the slope surface. The barrier is designed to retain future debris and slough without backfilling, ensuring ongoing slope stability and public safety. Only five prequalified contractors—Calex Engineering, Clarke Contracting, Jilk Heavy Construction, Mike Prlich & Sons, and Mladen Buntich Construction—are eligible to bid as Prime Contractors on this project.
