AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of surgeon’s gloves, specifically neoprene, size 8, latex-free, powder-free, sterile, disposable gloves with curved fingers, beaded cuffs, smooth surfaces, and biogel coating, colored dark blue. Each unit consists of a package containing 200 pairs with a fingertip thickness of 0.20mm. The gloves have a shelf life of 36 months, and delivery to the government must occur within five months of the manufacturing date to ensure freshness and effectiveness. Packaging and packing must follow commercial standards as outlined, using sealed unit containers and commercial exterior shipping containers that protect against damage and ensure safe delivery at the lowest transportation cost. The contract includes strict adherence to medical marking standards, specifically Medical Marking Standard No. 1, replacing previous references to MIL-STD-129. It integrates technical and quality requirements detailed in the DLA Master List, with current versions applicable depending on the solicitation or award dates. The gloves are identified under NSN/Part Number 6515-01-519-6341, with a purchase quantity of one package requested and a delivery timeframe of 20 days after order. The solicitation is managed under the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain, with performance taking place in Richmond, VA, and a primary point of contact designated for communication and coordination.
